Depression glass {made between 1929-1939} is so called because collectors generally associate mass-produced glassware in pink, yellow, crystal, green, and blue with the Great Depression in America. It was machine-made and distributed free, or at low cost, in the United States and Canada around the time of the Great Depression.

Fun Fact:  I collect the green Depression Glass and my mom collects the Pink Depression Glass. We have spent many a day searching for this glassware.
