Hitting publish on this website is one of the hardest things I've done in along time. Then I think you have birthed a human and survived a divorce, girl putting yourself out there for the whole world is nothing. Hit the button!
Here goes nothing and everything all at the same time. Hi, I'm Janet a self proclaimed Detaleator.
What is a Detaleator you say?
How I chose my moniker {I love that word}. Let me explain how I landed on Detaleator. It's a vintage enthusiast {with a dash of modern to keep things interesting} who loves a good plan {creator} that allows you to host events and make wonderful memories {detales} and I do the dishes. Yep, your read that right I take care of cleaning the dishes.
Basically, it's a word I made up to introduce myself and what I'm launching here.
I love creating the details that allow for making great memories gathered around the table with friends and family.
So I thought, I have alot of china and "vintage stuff" why don't I figure out a way to share this with others who might not have the time or see the joy in tooling around thrift stores searching for unique finds. Bless your heart. We can't all see the fun in dusty old shops and a good Dollar General find.
Does it sound like i'm trying to justify my purchases? It sounds a lot better than saying I have a shopping problem for old stuff!
Follow along and enjoy this journey with me.
While I hope you might be interested in working together; more than anything I am looking forward to sharing what got me here.
It's been an interesting journey. I plan to share funny anecdotes about being a single women in my fifties {this alone should make you want to follow along}, unhealthy recipes with butter, condensed milk and cream cheese, how I am learning to thrive after a divorce, some gardening {last year I fancied myself as a flower farmer} and of course lots of ideas for creating memorable tables.
Well I hope you enjoyed learning about how I chose my moniker {that word though} and come along for the journey.
First a snack on a nice china plate--- a Diet Coke and a frozen Reese's Peanut Butter Egg...eggs are healthy!
Enjoy the DeTales,
Janet
